| An alien cactus.
| A cactus that looks like chili peppers.
| Looking down into the floral greenhouse. It smelled remarkably
fragrant.
| More of the floral greenhouse.
| Tulips!
| Another expanse of flowers; don't know the type.
| A panoramic movie of a waterwheel in another greenhouse. This movie
also pans around part of this greenhouse.
| A hanging plant with a funky, unreal color.
| Orchids, plus a self-portrait of myself in the case's glass.
| A path through another greenhouse.
| St. Luke's United (Methodist) Church looks like a castle. I
created this HDR shot by combining multiple different exposures of the
same scene.
The inside is modern--it's been renovated--but still has nice stained
glass windows.
| The plainer St. Peter's (Anglican) Church across the street.
A half a block away is another church. There are a lot in this
neighborhood!
| Townhouses on Carlton Street between Ontario and Parliament. Notice the
street lamp in someone's yard. I saw this a handful of times in
Toronto.
| A billboard welcoming me to downtown Cabbagetown (Parliament Street).
The street isn't particularly interesting.
| A mural appropriate for Cabbagetown (at least the bottom-left of it).
| I grabbed lunch at a Thai joint, Ginger - A Taste of Health, in
Cabbagetown.
| I had a tofu & jicama salad roll for lunch. It had a nice crunch.
It was good so I ordered another roll.
| A shrimp roll. I liked the Thai basil in these rolls.
| Houses of Winchester Street east of Parliament.
| Some church buildings in the neighborhood are now no longer
churches. The red brick, by the way, makes the building somewhat fit
in.
| More houses on Winchester Street. It was patio weather--too bad no one
was taking advantage of it.
| Houses along Sadeville Street.
| The middle house's brick in this shot looks well worn. You need to view
the full-sized image to see it.
| Back on Winchester Street, though it's subtle, notice how each of these
houses has a different style banister.
| Riverdale Park West. Though not visible in the picture, the park was
alive with the sounds of kids and birds.
| A partial panorama of the Necropolis, a cemetery that feels like a
pleasant park.
| The lovely Necropolis Chapel. I can believe the plaque when it says
it's "one of the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in
Canada." At right is the porte-cochere/gate to the cemetery.
| A sample shot to capture the vista of Riverdale Farm, a farm/petting
zoo.
| Rapunzel's Tower, plus some cows.
| A shaggy-holved horse.
| A cow. It was so focused on eating straw that it allowed me to pet it!
| The sheep enclosure. Don't miss the overseer.
| Sheep doing their thing.
| So shaggy!
Lazing about. Okay, I went a little overboard on the sheep, but
they're so adorable. :)
| Pigs.
| Chickens.
| I always forget how ugly turkeys are.
