The onion-shaped dome of a distant mosque.
| We rested under some neem trees in a shady part of the tomb's grounds.
Neem trees are a "classic" tree native to India that have antiseptic
properties like Eucalyptus.

Driving Home
|
|
|
As we drove home for snacks, we passed many other scattered monuments,
including one with a blue dome just across the street from this one.
|
Just after we passed Lodi Gardens, we drove by some of the wealthiest
addresses in Delhi: big, gated houses, mostly in old Colonial style.
Many of these were on or near Amrita Shergill Marg (Road).

Snacking
|
|
While at the Khan Market, we picked up custard apples. As we ate
them I decided they were aptly named.
I find it odd that they're popular in India, as my research reveals they
were only native to the Americas.

Driving to Old Delhi
|
|
|
|
|
On the way to dinner in Old Delhi, we stopped by an ATM, a liquor store,
and an apartment (to pick up a friend of our host's). The friend also
lives in a similarly nicely decorated apartment.
| A movie from the car window depicting what it's like driving in Delhi.
| A bug sat on the car's back window.
| Ditto.

Yet another attempt to photograph the bug.

Old Delhi
|
|
|
|
|
As we walked through Old Delhi to get to our restaurant, I took a few
videos. This is the first, taken from where we parked a little outside the
market proper, and the least interesting of the bunch.
| Ditto. Notice the noise, the hats, the cycle-rickshaw (near the
beginning of the video parked on the left), the scooters, and, of
course, the stalls.
| Ditto. Notice the lights and the crowd.
| Yet another movie.
As I took it, a kid tapped repeatedly on my elbow, which I presume meant
he was asking me for money.

Dinner at Karim's

Karim's, our dinner destination. This is the entrance to its eating
area.
| To the left of the entrance is a spot where some of the food is prepared.
| Above, some meats hang.
