My, what big, scary teeth you have! It's a placoderm.

| Live Butterfly Pavilion

|
| A sloppy overview shot showing the extent of the live butterfly
pavilion.
| A butterfly hanging delicately from a leaf.
| A butterfly on a honeydew melon. Butterflies taste with their feet.
| Three butterflies at once. I vaguely recall thinking there were more in
this shot when I took it, but I cannot spot any others.

| Ditto.
| A butterflying climbing a stem of a bush.
| A video of a butterfly smoothly flapping. I'm a bit surprised how
smooth the motion is, no bumps, no subtle speed-ups or slow-downs.
| There are four butterflies hanging off this branch.

| Ibid, a movie of one butterfly on the branch flapping. Play it with
sound to hear my mother cooing over it.
| Another butterfly, carefully perched.
| A photograph that serves two purposes: to show a wider view of the
foliage in the pavilion and to show many butterflies. The butterflies
are hard to spot among the flowers but I can easily spot three here and
I recall thinking there may have been five. The ones with green-ish
wings are hard to find.
| A video of a butterfly flying around the plants.

| Hope Diamond

|
|
|
| The Hope Diamond. Somehow I imagined it was bigger. At least I read
that it was probably four times larger before the two times it was cut
down and shaped.
| Best check under the couch cushions before throwing the couch away!
| Ah, how criminals can read the law.

| When I learned about Jamestown in elementary school, I was told the
fort was lost. Not so anymore.
| It's always good to compare something against a control, but be sure the
control is right!
| An explanation about how they established the control and,
in the bottom right, evidence the control is wrong.
