Maida Vale turns into Edgware Road. The apartments above the shops on
this road have very nice facades. Taken on October 25, 2010.

One day I happened to ride the bus down Edgeware Road in mid-afternoon.
It's the Middle-Eastern part of town. I spotted many women in burkas.
There were also many school children (junior high / high school age) in
uniforms heading home.
| There are many wire sculptures (mostly in the shape of umbrellas and
of gift boxes) hanging above Oxford Street. The umbrellas make my mom
think of Mary Poppins. Also note the tall streetlamps. I took
this picture from the southern end of Edgware Road (near Marble Arch)
as we passed Oxford Street. Taken on October 25,
2010. Artificially brightened.
| Marble Arch, up close and personal from the top-level of the
double-decker bus. Taken on October 28, 2010. Artificially

follows at this point. Taken on October 25, 2010.

through it in the morning rush hour. Taken on October 28, 2010.

The ornate buildings along Grosvenor Place. At this point we're in
central London (in particular a wealthy district called Belgravia).
Taken on October 25, 2010. Artificially brightened.
| In Belgravia, approaching Grosvenor Gardens. The huge tree and
double-decker bus in front of it hide a small park. This is very close
to Victoria Station. Note the bikers in the bottom-right of the
picture. Taken on October 25, 2010. Artificially brightened.
| Biking commuters directly in front of the park seen in the previous
picture. Taken on October 28, 2010. Artificially brightened.
| Another park a block away. Taken on October 28,
2010. Artificially brightened.
