The Copthorne
King's, the hotel I stayed in for the length of the conference. I actually took this picture on July 23rd, the day I checked out.
A picture of one of the two-story, older malls in Orchard Row.
A 360 degree panoramic movie of Orchard Road. This movie shows some of
the more modern shopping malls. Listen to the music in the background
and especially the chirping of the birds. It's so loud that it almost
becomes a white noise that covers the music!
Another scene from Orchard Row. I like the purple dome.

A panoramic movie of the Lucky Plaza food court. It's too bad most of
the signs are unreadable at this resolution. I later realized
that that this food court is definitely more sanitized, with clear
yellow signs in English, than most hawker centers.
I must've looked confused as I browsed the multiple congee, ramen, and
various other joints in the plaza, as a seated woman talked to me and
endorsed the "beef ban mien" at a particular stall. I tried it. As you
can see, it's a bowl of noodles in soup. The chicken broth was good,
the meat was low quality, and I learned I'm not a fan of fried
anchovies.
