Brunch
Once again, brunch from Clear Flour.

coffee cake (top) - good.

apricot croissant - good and flaky, though not as buttery as some we
had in Montreal. Had a substantial layer of apricot filling.

banana pecan scone - good. The flavors really came through. Not as
dry as most scones.

morning bun (with walnuts) - good.

  • morning bun (with walnuts) - good.
  • We also had
    • tea cake (with golden raisins) - good. smelled strongly of orange.
    • a chocolate thing - looked dry but was not. a tasty cross between a chocolate cake and a brownie. (I don't recall its real name.)
    • brioche - cotton swirled dough, not that unlike challah.
Sorry, I was too distracted to remember to photograph everything. (After I ran off to get utensils, I forgot about the camera for the rest of the meal.)
We also grabbed some hong-kong-style wonton soup from the food court. The wontons were terrific: entirely shrimp, fresh, and lively.
At the last minute, we grabbed Chinese bbq pork so I could introduce my parents to this dish. It was tasty, moist bbq pork, with no visible fat and just the right amount of sweetness.

To drink, we got soy milk from Super 88 and jasmine tea from elsewhere in the food court.
    Dinner
"Winter vegetable hash," a dish I cooked with potatoes, kale, mushrooms,
squash, peppers, and more, from a recipe in the Google Cookbook.

We also had (frozen) chicken stuffed with broccoli and cheese, and shared some of a bottle of white zinfandel.
