With dinner, we shared a bottle of Pinot Noir La Crema from Sonoma. A mellow, drinkable wine, it had just the right hint of mild sourness. It maintained its roundness well despite being open to the air for a long period of time during dinner.	For dinner, I had the half rack of lamb ("chowpan"). Served medium rare, it was terrific. It came with good rice ("pallow") and decent sauteed eggplant.
