A panorama of Spruce Creek. This captures its open expanse.
The same panorama again, only taken with the zoom, thus making it possible
to see the houses across the creek.
First, we walked along Spruce Creek, the inlet behind my parent's place.

Mount Agamenticus

A town to the east, as seen from the top of the mountain.
A panorama looking eastward from a balcony at the top of the mountain. Please ignore the video going funky near the end; my camera hiccuped.
A panorama westward from the top of the mountain. Maine really is
covered with forests!
We drove to the top of nearby Mount Agamenticus.

The Yorks

A curvy inlet.
Many houses, glowing in the late afternoon light, face York Beach.
York Beach.
We drove through The Yorks (e.g., York Beach, York Village, York Harbor, York), passing many picturesque views.

York Beach.
A 360 degree panorama of York Beach. A bit more than halfway through
the video, you can see some fairly typical New England houses. You'll
have to pause the video--they go by quickly. (The houses closer to the
end of the video are atypical, being much larger than normal ones.)
It was sunset when we crossed Wiggly Bridge, a tiny suspension bridge at
the right of the picture, to stroll around Steedman Woods.

Dinner: The Cheesecake Factory

The basket of bread. Although the dark bread was notably good and
flavorful, the white was a tasteless waste of calories.
Grilled eggplant sandwich with a ton of grilled onions, roasted red
peppers, melted mozzarella, and garlic aioli. Good. The fries were
decent, though too salty. A huge amount of food.

Artificially brightened.
Kobe beef burger. Good. More on the medium-well side than medium, yet still
reasonably moist.

For dinner, we stopped on the way to Boston at the Cheesecake Factory in Burlington that my parents really like.

The decor, both inside and outside, was identical to other Cheesecake Factories.

Our meal was quite good.

Pumpkin cheesecake with almonds on top. Very good, light and addictive.
The whipped cream was heavy, heavier than what normally comes out
of a can. My mom liked it; she doesn't normally like whipped cream.
This picture would've come out much better had I remembered to take it
before we scraped the pretty plume of whipped cream off the top (in
order to divide the slice into individual portions).
Chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake. Good. Very rich. Very strong
raspberry flavor; we all enjoyed the clarity of the taste. The dense
chocolate decoration was so strong and sweet that none of us could
finish our portions. (That's not to say it was bad, just that it was
powerful.)
