| I swear these cenotaphs look like ancient rocket ships.
| A huge cenotaph with very many columns.
| I believe this is the ceiling of the previous cenotaph. Notice how the
poses are all different.
| Yet more intricate detail.
| A monkey grooming a dog.
| The same, in movie form as I walked closer.
| Elsewhere in Mantore is the garishly painted Hall of Heroes carved out
of a wall.

| The maharaja's palace.
| A model of the palace.
| One entrance (off limits to tourists).
| Some history of the palace, supposedly built partially as a
poverty-relief program.
| One of the palace's interior courtyards. Yes, those birds above are
sitting, not flying. Although not visible in this picture, there's a
net covering the courtyard.
| One of the museum's many unusual clocks.
| More unusual clocks.
| Yet more clocks. While the left two look relatively normal, the
rightmost seems like it ought to be part of a science experiment.

| Kanji Sweets
| Sbree Kanji Sweets.
| Chum chum, chakki (flat ovoid objects), and more. I only tried those
two items I named; they were moist and sweetened with honey.
| Saffron rasmalai: creamy, sweet balls of saffron.

| An ad in a liquor store had a strange slogan. If you have a theory
about what it means, tell me.

| On the Rocks

| The garden path to the restaurant's dining area (outside).
| Chicken shanghai. (That sauce is actually white.) Good. Has nuts.
Artificially brightened.
| Singaporean vegetable noodles. Good.
Artificially brightened.
| Those chunks are fried baby corn. Bleh. On the left is, I believe,
a spicy chili salsa. Artificially brightened.

I also had a punjabi lassi. Although it had a good consistency, it was
too sweet for me--Lassiwalla has me
spoiled.

| An excellent picture of the clock tower at night.
| The same picture, simply with a faster shutter speed.
| An attempt to photograph Mehrangarh Fort at night.
Artificially brightened.
| Ditto.
