September 25th 2007: Harvard and Cambridge

Some places I visited (e.g., Radcliff Yard, Christ Church) weren't worth photographing.

The first movie a panorama of JFK Park from where we had lunch. You can see the Charles in the distance. The buildings are part of the Kennedy School of Government.

The next two movies (1,2) are panoramas of etchings of animals high on the walls of some of Harvard's department of biology buildings. This would make a great site for a Game clue.

The final movie is a panorama of Cambridge Common.

There are movies associated with this collection.

Muqueca
Muqueca, the Brazilian, mostly seafood, restaurant where we had dinner.
Muqueca's little, cute, and homey interior. Because it was packed when we
arrived, we needed to wait a while to be seated.
Left: açaí berry guarana shake: good and unusual (but not that weird). I
later learned guarana contains caffeine; I wonder how much ended up in
the shake.

Right: fried plantains: sweet, and perfectly fried using just right
plantains (i.e., not too much potato-starch). Although they would've
worked better as a dessert, they're still passable as a non-dessert.
Fish and shrimp muqueca. Muqueca is a Brazilian seafood stew cooked in
a clay pot. This one, the first I've had, was very good. The broth was
full of flavor from the seafood. The thick gravy on the side was
entirely unnecessary.
