Most of this day's trips were outside and sadly some of the pictures
didn't come out too well -- my camera doesn't capture the contrast between
a sunny sky and a shaded forest well.
Nearly all the movies are of Mexico's entry into the
fireworks competition. Viewing them full screen is, of course, best.

A deer.
| The view from the top of Grouse Mountain to Burrard Inlet and North
Vancouver. This image also is proof that I climbed to exactly the top
of the mountain where the gondola goes, as seen in this previous picture.
| More of the same. Look at the river sparkle!
| Burrard Inlet and North Vancouver. (The camera faces southwest.) The
Capilano River is in the foreground.

Looking west at Capilano River. It almost makes me think of a fjord.
| Panorama of Capilano River from Grouse Mountain.
| Vancouver, including its downtown, in the distance and North Vancouver in
the foreground.
| A wider, no-zoom version of the previous photo.

The gondola which I would take down.

potatoes and mustard greens.

Fireworks Competition: Mexico
|
|
|
|
|
| | I don't know if the zigs are from my hand shaking or from the fireworks
themselves. I think the former is likely.

| A big one!
| It almost looks like a face.

|
| | Many fireworks!
| I believe all the little lights in this and the other pictures are boats.
|
 |
|
|
| Another big cluster of fireworks. I wonder why the picture has a glowing
haze. I don't think it's smoke.

| Burrard Bridge.
| Excellent. Burrard Bridge at night. (This is called saving the
best picture for (close to) last.)
| A long exposure photograph of English Bay at night. The lights are trails
from the boats' lights.
