The Battle Oaks.  Some of these pre-date the Civil War.  They were
involved in a preservation fight just like <a target=_blank
href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/09/09/MNMD12QPGR.DTL">the
old trees in Berkeley</a>, except this time the oaks won.
