A larger contributer to the unpleasantness of the ride was the
amount of time it took. <p />
At one point, traffic was delayed and we had to stop for a while (half
an hour?  an hour?).  I still don't understand why we had to stop.  A
train?  A restricted dirt bridge that only allowed one-way traffic? <p />
Later, we stopped and the driver found a nail in a tire.  We drove a
while more, then stopped again to remove the nail.  We drove farther and
stopped to refill the time. Eventually, we made it to Jaipur, stopping a
few time to add more air to the tire.  I guess changing the tire wasn't
an option.  <p />
Arriving at 5:00pm, the total trip took seven and a half hours instead
of the scheduled five and a half. <p />
In retrospect, we should've taken the train.  We were told the train
usually runs 3+ hours late (both arriving and leaving), and we didn't
want to wait at the train station for three hours twiddling our thumbs. 
As it turns out, the train would've been faster anyway.  We vowed to
avoid buses as much as possible in the future.
